CHRONIFER® Special 35 P (1.4435 P)

CHRONIFER® Special 35 P is a triple-melt austenitic stainless steel in a class of its own. It fully fulfils the highest requirements for reliability and reproducibility, as required for IoT-controlled and controlled production (Industry 4.0). The steel is perfect for products that require durability, robustness and corrosion resistance.

It is triple-melted in state-of-the-art VIM steel production facilities, followed by ESR and VAR double remelting. This results in a very low inclusion rate, significantly better than Mat. No. 1.4441 (1.4441 is only remelted once).

Melting & remelting:

• VIM (Vacuum Induction Melting)
• ESR (electroslag remelting)
• VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelting)

The steel is non-magnetic (not ferromagnetic) and ∂ (delta) ferrite-free. Furthermore, it cannot be thermally hardened; it can only be hardened by cold forming. This type of steel offers the best conditions for achieving polishability up to the highest grade.
